Store Access
The Store Access page is used with multi-store systems. For users to have access to other stores' data, each store must be added to this list. This includes the ability to change the store ID at Point Of Sale and sell out of another location, as well as accessing inventory information.
Let's describe this in a more user-friendly manner. Store 05 is located 15 miles from Store 10. Store 05 answers the telephone and takes orders for both locations, therefore, Store 05 will need to be able to access Store 10's inventory (and accounts).
STORE: Enter the store who is requesting the access. In our example, that is Store 05.
ACCESS STORE: Enter the store who is providing the information. In our example, that is Store 10.
Therefore, when Store 05 gets a call from a customer who will receive inventory out of Store 10, Store 05 will change the store ID on the Point Of Sale screen to 10. Store 05 will also be able to see Store 10's inventory records.
Please Note: if the stores need access to each other (Store 05 can change the store ID at POS to 10, and Store 10 can change the store ID at POS to 05), they must BOTH be added to the table.
