Inventory Price Level Calculation Overview

The Inventory Price Level Calc Setup and Inventory Price Level Calc Update utilities are used to maintain price margins on parts that exist in the Inventory file.  Users will begin by entering pricing into any and all price fields (on the inventory record) that will be used.  The Inventory Price Level Calc Update program will then be run, creating records in the Inventory Price Level Calc Setup table.  Once the table is populated, when a price update occurs, users will rerun the Inventory Price Level Calc Update which will go through the Inventory Price Level Calc Setup and maintain the price margins set in the table.

Step #1:  Go to Inventory Price Level Calc Update and use the Create Calculations from Prices to populate Inventory Price Level Calc Setup the first time.

Step #2
:  Update pricing.

Step #3
:  Go to Inventory Price Level Calc Update and use the Record Selection Criteria to select which parts will be recalculated.

Step #4
:  Click View Update Records to review which parts will be updated, and what calcuations will be used for each of those parts.

Step #5
:  Click Do Update.
