Catalog

Overview

The Catalog page is used to specify catalog information, for users connecting to the Epicor catalog.  Users must define the server’s IP address in this area to be able to use the catalog on all workstations.  This area is used in conjunction with information set in C:\Webcat.

Connection Information

Host Address:  enter the server’s IP address (internal).  If the server’s IP address changes, the information must be adjusted here as well as on the SPEDS setup in C:\Webcat.

Host Port:  enter the host port that was entered into the SPEDS program.

Supplier Name:  enter the supplier name.  Typically, “TS” is used as a default, but the information can be found by going to C:\Webcat\SetupAdmin.

Customer Name:  enter a customer name if required for the Federated catalog setup.  For Epicor, leave the field blank.

Lookup Style

Vehicle First:  choose Vehicle First to start all catalog searches by entering the vehicle information first.

Part / Labor Groups First:  choose Part / Labor Groups First to start all catalog searches by searching for parts first.  Selecting this choice will bypass entering an engine size if it is not required for the part.

Availability Checks

Initiate Availability Check when item is selected: if checked, once an item is selected the system will immediately do an availability check (if qty on hand is insufficient)

Hide price until Availability Check is complete:  if checked, pricing will not display until all availability checks are completed.

Use Catalog Price if no Availability Check and Item is added to Ticket: if items are added to the ticket without an availability check being run, the catalog price will display on the ticket.

Maintenance Schedule Intervals to Returns: Maintenance scheduled intervals allow users to see requirements at certain mileage.  Choose to receive information by one of the three choices below.  The requested information will display at the bottom of the catalog screens.

Choose from:

Save Group Description to Transaction: if selected, the group description will be saved on each transaction line in Point of Sale.  When transactions are saved and the information is sent to the Cube, the group description will be available for users to select instead of the generic Labor part (or Parts part) that is setup in inventory.  This will give the users much more user-friendly information when reporting.
