Screen Mode Definitions
The Point of Sale screen mode accesses all transaction functionality whereas the Back Office screen mode accesses the settings, tables, reports, and data configured for your computer.
The Back Office contains a standard windows toolbar with the following pull down menus:
File -- access to all application functions.
Edit provides editing functions. Note: the same edit functions are also available as icons on the toolbar.
View provides viewing functions. Note: the same view functions are also available as icons on the toolbar.
Reports -- access to all report functions.
Tools access to all settings, tables, and data configuration.
Window -- allows user to hide or display the Hot Menu buttons or toolbars. In addition, if more than one table is open, the user can toggle to each table by checking the application table from the Window pull down menu.
Help-- access to Help Topics (online documentation manual), Error Log, Product (License) Registration, About (Version Number).
The online documentation manual can be reviewed by the table of contents, index, or search function.
Click on Help to access the online documentation.
Click on Help Topics.
Click on the Contents button to display the Table of Contents.
Double click on a Book icon or highlight the Book icon and click Display. This will display the table of contents for that individual book, if applicable or a Question Mark icon identifying the documentation.
Double click on a Question Mark icon or highlight the Question Mark icon and click Display to view the documentation.
Click on the Index button to find a topic via the index.
Click on the Find button to search for a word/phrase within the documentation.
Once in the document, any phrase that is underlined can be clicked on and the system will move to that area of the documentation.

Move to the previous topic in the Table of Contents
Move to the next topic in the Table of Contents
Example: Table of Contents
Topic A
Topic B
Topic C
Topic D
User is in Topic A and clicks underlined phrase and is moved to Topic C.
will place user in original Topic A.
will place user in previous Topic B.
will place user in next Topic D.
The About function displays the application version number.
Click on the application version number to display the version of the catalog DLL. (Note: It will only show the DLL for the catalog package that is enabled.)
The Product Registration function allows a product license to be renewed before the user starts receiving an expiration warning.
Note: Ctrl F4 can be used to close an open back office window. This will work the same as clicking on the X box in the upper right hand corner of the open window.
