Retrieving an Existing Customer - Installer

 

 

 

Overview

 

An existing customer can be retrieved through the Point of Sale screen or through the back office. Retrieving an existing customer allows historical data to be viewed and the customer record to be modified.

 

 

Steps: Retrieving an Existing Customer - Installer

 

  1. Click on the Customer Information box at the top of the screen.

    1. If the default customer is displayed in the Customer Information box, the user will go directly to the Customer Search function screen.

    2. If the customer displayed in the Customer Information box is NOT the default customer, a Retrieve button will appear. Click the Retrieve button to go to the Customer Search function screen.

 

  1. Search for a customer by using one of the following Customer Search functions:

    1. By Name

      1. In the space provided, type in any part of the Name that you know and click OK. The system will display a list of the customers that meet the specified criteria.

      2. From the list of customers displayed, select your customer. The customer information will then be transferred to the Customer Information box on the Point of Sale screen.

Note: The information displayed can be sorted by clicking on the heading of the column you would like to sort.

    1. By Phone

      1. In the space provided, type in as much of the Phone number as you know and click OK. The system will display a list of the customers that meet the specified criteria.

      2. From the list of customers displayed, select your customer. The customer information will then be transferred to the Customer Information box on the Point of Sale screen.

Note: The information displayed can be sorted by clicking on the heading of the column you would like to sort.

    1. By Account #

      1. In the space provided, type in as much of the Account number as you know and click OK. The system will display a list of the customers that meet the specified criteria.

      2. From the list of customers displayed, select your customer. The customer information will then be transferred to the Customer Information box on the Point of Sale screen.

Note: The information displayed can be sorted by clicking on the heading of the column you would like to sort.
