Recommended Services / Maintenance History

 

 

Overview

 

The Recommended Services option enables you to view a list of vehicle specific recommended services. A marginal or replace inspection item result can automatically attach the associated remedy part(s) to the list of recommended services for the vehicle or to the ticket.

 

The Maintenance History option provides a list of services performed on the selected vehicle. The list will be ordered with the most recent services at the top. Once remedy parts are placed on a ticket and the ticket is tendered, the remedy parts and corresponding inspection package from the tendered ticket will be listed on the Maintenance History screen.

 

The Recommended Services and Maintenance History options can be used for protection against false claims. For example, you may have alerted your customer to a problem, but he/she declined the service. The customer may return later and state that the service you performed is responsible for the problem. This information will have been saved, providing a history of recommended services. Note: once a recommended service has been completed and saved to an invoice, it will move from Recommended Services to Maintenance History.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Steps: View a Vehicle’s Recommended Services / Maintenance History:

 

Once a vehicle is selected at the Point of Sale screen, click on the Vehicle Information box to access the Recommended Services screen and Maintenance History Screen.

 

 

  1. Click on the Maintenance History button to view the packages previously performed on the vehicle.

    1. Access the Recommended Services screen from the Maintenance History screen by clicking on the View Recommended Services button at the bottom of the screen.

    2. Repeating a previous package on a vehicle can be easily accomplished by adding the package from the maintenance history list to the recommended services list. Highlight a maintenance history package and click on the Add To Recommended Services button to add the previously performed package to the current list of recommended services.

Note: A shop question can be set to go directly to the Recommended Services screen once a package has been added to Recommended Services. If the shop question is not checked, a message will appear on the screen to let the user know that the package has been added to Recommended Services.

    1. Highlight a previously performed package and click on the Add To Ticket button to add the package directly to the ticket.

    1. Click on the Print button to print a hardcopy of the packages previously performed on the vehicle.

    2. Highlight a previously performed package and click on the View Ticket button to display the original ticket associated with the highlighted package.

    3. Click on the Done button to exit the Maintenance History screen.

 

  1. Click on the Recommended Services button to view the vehicle’s recommended services.

    1. Click on the Add Additional Recommended Service button to add additional packages or catalog parts to the current list of recommended services.

      1. Add a job package, inspection package, or catalog part by clicking on the applicable button:

        1. Select from Job Package(s)

        2. Select from Inspection Package(s)

        3. Select from Catalog Parts

        4. Select from Catalog Labor

      2. Highlight a package/part and then click the OK button to add the package/part to the current list of recommended services.

      3. If the screen is full, the Up/Down Arrow buttons will be enabled at the bottom of the screen. Use the arrow buttons to scroll through the list until you see the package/part you wish to add.

    2. Access the Maintenance History screen from the Recommended Services screen by clicking on the View Maint. History button at the bottom of the screen.

    3. Click on the Done button to exit the Recommended Services screen.

    4. Click on the Print button to print a hardcopy of the current list of recommended services.

 

  1. When a package is highlighted, the following buttons will appear at the bottom of the screen:

    1. Remove Selected Service(s): remove the highlighted package from the list of recommended services.

    2. Change Qty: Change the quantity of the highlighted package or part.

    3. Add Selected Service(s) To Ticket button: add the highlighted package to your open ticket.

    4. If the screen is full, the Up/Down Arrow buttons will be enabled at the bottom of the screen. Use the arrow buttons to scroll through the list until you see the job package you wish to select.

Note: A group of packages can be selected by clicking on each individual package to include.
